The monkey muses have abandoned me!
Dec. 20th, 2005 07:07 pmThis is all I've got:
"Now? Would be an excellent time to run," Dean informs the intended victim of an X.
"That way," Sam prompts when he doesn't seem inclined to move.
So much for my plan to write a story for every week of the hiatus. I do have a non-Supernatural story in mind, but I'm not gonna bother posting it here because it'll just fizzle out like all the others. No, not those Others.
I am working on another video... It's more of a slidshow, really, due to my fear of file-sharing programs, but if anything is going to cure me of said fear, this'll be it. Apparently Windows Movie Maker is morally opposed to having so many images so it keeps freezing up and I finally had to save the first part as a movie and then start adding more pictures to that and it won't let me edit the timing the way I want to. I mean, if there is a way to enter the exact length of time you want an image to display, I sure as hell can't find it. So I have to click and drag which I'm sure is supposed to be all user-friendly and conveeenient, but it's a major pain in the ass because it only allows you to have it be .53 or .47 seconds but nothing in between. Like, what if I want it to be .5 seconds? Huh? What then? Hopefully I'll be able to finish it tomorrow on my luverly day off.
And finally, I've been thinking about Missouri's line at the end of Home when she says Sam is all powerful but he couldn't sense his own father, and it's bugging me because why would he be able to? He hasn't demonstrated having the ability to read thoughts. He has visions and maybe can sense spirit type things (but even that's sort of iffy because sticking around after they put the herb bags in could be related to his vision and knowing it's not completed yet and Dean may well have been able to figure out that the Burning Thing was Momma if he had been pinned to the wall with nothing better to do). So Missouri and Sam are different kinds of psychics because nothing she said (that I remember) would indicate she can see the future, just that she can read thoughts and figure out when someone's spouse is cheating on them and we'll probably never know if she figured that out from the guy himself or from a physical object he brought with him or what. So Sammy's psychicness is about seeing the future in his dreams and she shouldn't have expected him to be able to sense Daddy Dearest. Or something.
