To market, to market to buy a fat flea
Jul. 9th, 2005 01:21 pmSo, first we went to Nati's and finally picked up the futon and the TV stand and the coffee table. She also convinced us to take the orange cushy chairs (which are sorta couchy but they have wooden legs). One for me (that I'm sitting in right now), and one for you. I figure we can do fun trading spaces slipcovers for them, except better because we have more time and are willing to put more effort in. Then the cool flea market that will be my warmup to being able to go to Quakers and Hulmeville this year (yay!) right before I scoff at the pathetic Jersey/PA winter.
They only had My Little Pony ripoffs with ugly faces so I couldn't get any for us to modify :( I did get salt shakers (they're cute little guys and it was only 25 cents for 2 so I figure one for me and one for company. I might need three if both you and Dad come over at the same time ;) I also got two books: The Princess Bride and a Madeleine L'Engle book, since I always used to like those. I also got a tiger stuffed animal that I know I shouldn't have gotten because I have too many already, but he has a really cute face and I can't make the furry kind of stuffed animals. Well, I guess I could but I'd have to buy the fur first, and it would be hard to work with particularly on the small scale I'm used to working in. What I did not get was a cool butterfly tin because the lid was jammed, and a really cool oblong tin with hinges on the lid because it said vineyard on it, and though I know you wouldn't care, I have to abstain on principle.
