What I did today:
Feb. 4th, 2006 05:49 pm1. Fended off clawed assailants for upwards of 2 hours.
2. Battled an army of invisible foes.
3. Roamed the desert, searching for mirages.
4. Weathered a dust storm à la Carnivàle.
5. Dressed my wounds.
6. Went through the looking glass.
7. Followed a map to buried treasure.
8. Tracked down a lost artifact only to find it was worthless.
What I really did:
1. Slept in, much to the cats' dismay.
2. Washed the dishes. Die, bacteria! Die!
3. Cleaned the cats' litter area and washed the mats.
4. Swept and dustbusted the floor.
5. Replaced the bandaid on my scalpel cut from work.
6. Cleaned the bathroom mirror and sink.
7. Finally got my gorram printer to uncheck the frelling "Keep printed documents" box so I could print out pretty coupons.
8. Found WHYY on my radio so I could listen to Wait, Wait, Don't Tell Me! The NPR News Quiz, but it was pledge week so I listened online instead.
Sounded so much more interesting the first time around, didn't it?
I wish I could say my apartment was clean right now, but a cat walked by. And there's the catastrophe that is the coffee table, and the random boxes lying about...
