Dark Angel

Eventual Jensen Ackles notwithstanding, this is one of those shows where I can't figure out why I didn't watch it the first time around.
Maybe I was mad at FOX for canceling some show I liked. But that sort of thing usually doesn't last more than five seconds. Farscape canceled? I am never watching SciFi again! Oooooh! They're showing Army of Darkness! And this Taken miniseries looks cool...
And I'm really not all that bitter about that anymore because they gave us The Peacekeeper Wars, which, as series endings go, is pretty gosh darn awesome.
Oh! And now after that irrelevant rambling, I remember why I didn't watch it! Because it was James Cameron and I was pissed at him about Titanic, which I totally would have wanted to see because the sinking thereof (along with mummies and the eruption of Mount Vesuvius) was one of my morbid childhood obsessions. Which, looking back, I have to wonder why the PUs encouraged so much, but I guess they figured it was educational. But yeah, I've always been into grisly deaths and corpses, who knew? Anyway, Cameron had to ruin it with a stupid overwrought romance and a craptacular Celine Demon er... Dion song. However, at the time, I didn't realize that he was also responsible for Abyss, and when I did realize it, I totally forgave him, but it was too late for Dark Angel.
Anyway, despite the fact that I'll be jonesing for my 5 hours of Stargate: SG-1 fix, I'm looking forward to seeing it on SciFi tonight. See! The rambling was relevant!
