Wonky Teyla Thingy

Sort of a character sketch poem... thingy.
Yeah, it's definitely a thingy.
And I've been vacillating between liking it and not liking it.
I guess I like it enough to post it because here it is.



And she danced. Fluid grace. Flawless execution: executioner. To misstep, to trip, to fall, to fail, to die.
She made the sticks extensions of her arms. And she flew. And she flies, twists, turns. Muscles tense.
Precise.
Gives death. Takes life.
Protection.
Defense.

And she danced. The line between life and death. Survival and loss. Alien, ally, friend, family.
She lead. She leads. She follows. Always a stranger: strange.
Different.
New home. Old home.
Athosian.
Lantean.

And she danced. Alone, apart, separate, together. Battle Wraith. Battle words.
Patience, understanding, stillness.
Grace.

And she danced. Birth to death. Daughter to mother. Giver of life: taker of life.
Threatening, threatened.
Piece.
Whole.
Hope.

And she danced. In the darkness. And brought back the light. Solemn, still.
Joyous.
Grateful.
Outsider, inside: strength. Forged into a weapon. By circumstance, by life.
Beautifully deadly.
Undefeated in defeat.
Onward.
Continue.
Continue living, continue fighting, continue loving, continue dancing.

And she danced. For hope. With grace. To try, to keep trying: to succeed.
Dancer.
Warrior.
Torchbearer.
Athosian.
Leader.
Lantean.
Teammate.
Protector.
Guardian.
Woman.
Teyla.
And she danced.

Thanks. It wasn't quite what I was planning on, but it's sort of growing on me.
