Dad taped Avatar while he had some free trial of HBO On Demand and had mom make the label which she spelled "Avitar". I... don't even know what to do with that. I mean, it's not like it's an internet word, it's like, old-school Sanskrit.


But there's always a 'but'.
But it's still told from the Colonizers POV. I want to watch the movie told from the Na'vi POV with Neytiri leading her people against the evil alien invaders, and then the Na'vi manage to outsmart the Humans and their fancy-schmancy technology because they have an entire planet's worth of neurally-networked trees on their side.


Anyway, I felt like instead of the "My Heart Will Go On"-esque* power ballad over the ending credits they could just as easily have gone with "Colors of the Wind" from Pocahontas.

*So similar it made "My Heart Will Go On" run through my head: Not Cool. Aaaand it was written by the same people. Okay then.

well everyone said the plot was the same as pocahontas or dances with wolves

i guess cas cant send balthazar back in time to stop avatar (but maybe canceling titanic makes james cameron not have the money for it)

the only thing i can think of from the natives point of view is that twilight zone with the mini space pep robots that turn out to be humans in space suits and the lady is a giant alien
